Weld Wheels Congratulates Pa Posse On Big Outlaw Weekend

JUNE 2, 2006 - Weld Wheels congratulates the PA Posse for their domination at Williams Grove Speedway last weekend, with Fred Rahmer sweeping Friday and Saturday A Main events.

Rahmer swept the World of Outlaws two-day event at the Grove aboard the Weld Wheels-equipped Jim and Sandy Kline entry wrenched by crew chief Ray “Moon”
Byers.

“I knew as long as I stayed on the bottom, I was going to be OK,” said Rahmer after his $12,500 win in Saturday‘s 30-lap finale. “I just hung back off the lapped car, so that I didn’t get into them. It just worked out really well. We had a very good weekend.”

The very good weekend Rahmer eluded to totaled over $17,000 at the pay window.

Doug Esh also shined for the PA Posse faithful against the Outlaws, as he raced the Dick Leach owned, Kinnard Trucking sponsored, Dennis Kohler wrenched, Weld Wheels-equipped entry to a fourth place finish in Friday’s 25-lap preliminary event, then finished as runner-up to Rahmer in Saturday’s big money show.

“We maybe needed to get into lapped traffic and him to make a mistake, but that’s pretty tough for Fred to make a mistake,” said Esh. “To come out of here with a second and a fourth, we’re happy with that. It definitely builds momentum for us. It’s just amazing what our team does. We’re not full-time guys, and we just have a lot of fun doing it.”

Another stand out team utilizing Weld Wheels in Central PA last week was the Bob Stewart owned Apple Motorsports entry led by crew chief Lee Stauffer and driven by Chad Layton.

Layton drove the Apple car to a $5,400 victory ay Lincoln Speedway’s 54th anniversary event, which was a 54 lap contest. The Apple crew did not sit on their laurels, as they also bagged another $5,000 for winning at Selinsgrove Speedway last Sunday evening.
