DODSON REUNITES WITH CARL EDWARDS/R.E. TECHNOLOGIES FOR USAC SILVER CROWN™ DEBUT AT HOMESTEAD

GREENWOOD, IN (March 12, 2007) - Eighteen year-old Cameron Dodson may be young but he has already competed in more premier divisions than most veteran drivers. Both winged and non-winged sprint cars, midgets, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and even the PRA Big Car division. But Dodson is ready to add another ‘first’ with is USAC Silver Crown™ debut at the upcoming event hosted at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The Indiana-based race prodigy was tapped by the Carl Edwards/R.E. Technologies Racing team for his first appearance on the PRA circuit last December at Lakeland’s (FL) USA International Raceway. The team earned an impressive 8th place finish in their first venture together.

The open-wheeled powerhouse stable of Carl Edwards/R.E. Technologies team once again came knocking at Dodson’s door for 2007. The team will kick off their USAC Silver Crown™ season together at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Friday, March 23, 2007, and will announce their additional events with Cameron in the near future as schedules are finalized. Dodson made his first USAC Silver Crown™ Series on-track appearance at Homestead on Monday in the No. 199 Carl Edwards/R.E. Technologies machine and turned the second quickest lap of the day at a blistering speed of 168.382 mph.

“We are real excited to have Cameron drive for us again,” commented Chris Santucci, team manager of Carl Edwards/R.E. Technologies Racing. “He did a great job for us in Lakeland, FL, and showed a lot of potential at our Homestead test. He is one of the most mature 18 year olds that I have been around. I have heard a lot about him for years and it seems like he has been around a lot longer than he has. He has the right tools, both mentally and physically, to get the job done and with the right opportunities, I would not be surprised if he comes out competing for the win. If he races as well as he prepares himself, it will not be long before a NASCAR team comes calling.”

“I am really grateful to Chris and everyone at R.E. Technologies and the entire Carl Edwards team for giving me another opportunity to drive for them in the USAC Silver Crown™ Series,” Dodson added. “This team has top notch equipment and crew members and is coming off of a USAC Silver Crown™ dirt win already this season, so I hope to deliver as a driver. We had a great test at Homestead and I really like the handling of the new Silver Crown™ cars. Hopefully we can have a strong finish at this event to reenergize the momentum we had in December and have a good showing for our sponsors.”

Dodson will pilot the #199 Carl Edwards/R.E. Technologies C&R Chassis with backing from Ford Racing, Redline Oil, Hoosier Tire, The Wax Shop and Mechanix Wear at the USAC Silver Crown™ Race hosted at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Friday, March 23, 2007. TEAM AUSTRALIA PARTICIPATES IN PHOENIX NOISE STUDY AS PAGENAUD SCORES SURPRISE SPEEDING TICKET

3/7/07 - Team Australia has assisted officials of the Grand Prix of Phoenix in conducting a noise level test in Arizona today, as new Aussie Vineyards recruit Simon Pagenaud received a shock speeding ticket as part of the proceedings.

Team Australia is geared up for a busy and successful 2007 racing season, but the green and gold Champ Car squad took some time out today to assist officials with a noise test ahead of December’s Grand Prix of Phoenix in Arizona.

The team kicked off the start to a hectic week as they participated in the Grand Prix of Phoenix noise test, which took place today in downtown Phoenix. Team Australia was asked by Champ Car and the Grand Prix of Phoenix promoters Dale Jensen and Bradley Yonover of DDB Ventures to conduct a demonstration to see if the noise of 750 horsepower Champ Cars would disrupt the MSCO 911 call centre.

The Champ Car World Series and Team Australia will be visiting Phoenix on November 30 to December 2, the first time the series will return to Phoenix since 1995. The speed machines will be zooming through downtown Phoenix and zipping by the MCSO 911 call centre, making noise a concern for the Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, so the Grand Prix of Phoenix promoters conducted a one-day noise measurement study, with Team Australia lending its services for the task.

“It’s great to be back in Phoenix,” said Team Australia co-owner Derrick Walker.

“When we were asked to help in the noise test, we jumped on it because Phoenix has always been a great event and anything we can do to help make it a success, then we were all for it.”

Today’s study proved to be very successful as Team Australia drivers Will Power of Australia and rookie Frenchman Simon Pagenaud were on hand for the test. Freight containers and plastic insulation helped to mask the noise and call centre employees were left unaware of cars racing outside.

“I really enjoyed having the opportunity to take part in the noise test,” said Power, the 2006 Champ Car Rookie of the Year.

“We got to see a good portion of the circuit and what to expect for the Phoenix race along making the sheriff happy with the noise level. Today was a very good test all around for everyone and for the event itself.”

Not only was the test a success, but fun as well and a bit shocking for Pagenaud. America's toughest sheriff, Maricopa County Sherriff Joe Apaio, gave Mr Pagenaud a citation for speeding as he zoomed past the call centre, helping to make the day more fun for the Aussie Vineyards team.

“At first I was a little shocked that I got a speeding ticket from the sheriff, but in the end it was a lot of fun and I had a really nice talk with him,” said Pagenaud.

“Today was a blast and so good to be back in the car. I’m so excited that we got to be a part of the study. I think we answered some questions to the noise problem, but I was quite surprised I was going to get a speeding ticket.”

Central, First and Third Avenues were closed as Team Australia completed a total of three sessions today at 9:30am, 11:30am, and 1:30pm. The study was such a success that officials had all the confirmation they needed, cancelling the last session scheduled for 3:00pm.

Team Australia now heads to Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway in California as it participates in Champ Car spring training on March 9-10. This will mark the last of official preseason testing before the first round kicks off in Las Vegas on April 6-8.

Tony Stewart Racing’s USAC Duo Prepares for ‘The Copper on Dirt’

Jones, Hines and Chevrolet Ready for Doubleheader at Manzanita Speedway

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 7, 2007) – Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) USAC teams have had little rest since their triumph at East Bay Raceway Park last Friday night but they’re loaded up and ready to roll toward the sunny skies of Phoenix for this week’s first-ever ‘The Copper on Dirt’ event. Levi Jones, Tracy Hines and the Tony Stewart Racing crew will trek more than 1,700 miles westward to compete in the two-day event featuring the USAC Silver Crown Series, USAC National Sprint Car Series and the USAC National Midget Car Series at Manzanita Speedway Feb. 9-10.

This weekend, Jones and the No. 20 TSR/Chevrolet/Maxim team will look to recreate the same results as last year’s season-opening event, as Jones won the USAC/CRA feature event at Manzanita Speedway on Jan. 21, 2006, in his first outing with TSR. In addition, the team is riding the wave of a solid victory in last Friday’s O’Reilly Sprint Bandits Tour ’N Topless Series finale and is hoping to carry that momentum into this weekend’s event. Manzanita Speedway has been good to Jones in the past, as he was crowned 2005 USAC National Sprint Car Series Champion at the facility in November 2005.

Hines will also be looking for some momentum as the No. 21 TSR/Chevrolet/Maxim team heads to the famed half-mile oval of Manzanita Speedway on Friday as he’ll be looking to get his first victory of the 2007 racing season. Having scored one top-five and two top-10 finishes in Florida last week, Hines will look to earn his first ‘W’ in the win column this season. The No. 21 TSR/Chevrolet/Maxim team will also look to kick off its quest to win the USAC National Midget Car Series Championship and garner Hines his first series title.

Jones and Hines will compete in the USAC National Sprint Car and USAC National Midget Car Series divisions of ‘The Copper on Dirt’ event. TSR has earned a victory in both divisions thus far in 2007, with Tony Stewart winning the O’Reilly Chili Bowl Midget Nationals on Jan. 13, and Jones winning the O’Reilly Sprint Bandits TNT Series finale on Feb. 2.

‘The Copper on Dirt’ event, featuring USAC’s three premier racing divisions, is scheduled to take place at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix Feb. 9-10. Gates will open to the public each day at 4 p.m. MST, with hot laps beginning at 5:30 p.m. Racing is slated to begin at 6:30 each evening. Saturday’s USAC Silver Crown Series event will be 50 laps, with the USAC National Sprint Car Series feature event totaling 40 laps. The USAC National Midget Car Series feature is scheduled for 30 laps. A total event purse of more than $90,000 will be up for grabs between the three divisions.

Quotes from Levi Jones, driver of the No. 20 TSR/Chevrolet/Maxim:

Did the win at East Bay Raceway Park last week give the No. 20 TSR/Chevrolet/Maxim team some added confidence heading into Manzanita Speedway later this week?

“The win at East Bay was huge for both Tony Stewart Racing and Chevrolet. Our team has really worked hard to get ready for this season and it’s beginning to pay off. We learned a lot in Florida and really found some things that we’re going to be able to use as the season progresses. Getting that first win was a great way to kick off the season, but now we’re focused on running well and getting the win at Manzanita Speedway. I think that we’re going to be a contender for both the midget and sprint car feature events this weekend.”

Quotes from Tracy Hines, driver of the No. 21 TSR/Chevrolet/Maxim:

Did the events at East Bay Raceway Park last week assist the No. 21 TSR/Chevrolet/Maxim team in its preparation for ‘The Copper on Dirt?’

“We’re pleased with the progress we made at East Bay last week. Considering that we had to battle pretty challenging track conditions, we were able to learn a lot about our chassis setups. The first two nights of racing were pretty tough. Bobby (Barth) and I were able to gain some insight on how the chassis will respond to dry-slick surfaces and on tracks that take on a lot of rubber. I think we’ve learned some things that will help us as we move forward in the season, including Manzanita. We’re heading to Phoenix with the goals of getting a win for Chevrolet and the first of the season for our team. We should be very competitive in both the sprint and the midget series events.”
