Kil-Kare Opener Froze Out Again

by Jerry Wahl

Xenia, OH. (4/12) - For the second week in a row freezing temperatures and wet grounds have forced Kil-Kare Speedway to cancel their season opening events.
Perhaps the third try will be the charm needed on Friday night, April 20, to finally get the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series late models, modifieds, sport stocks, and compact season under way.
It will also be Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club night with all current DARF members admitted free of charge to the grandstands compliments of the management.
Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. with racing starting at 8 p.m.
Test and tune is held every Thursday evening throughout the season at both the speedway and dragway starting at 5 p.m. Admission is just $5 which permits fans to visit the pit area of both tracks to get a close up look of the cars.
Updated Kil-Kare information is available on the web at www.kilkare.com or contact the track at 937 429-2961.
