RACE WEEKEND FOR JOHN
STANCILL IS FULL OF UPS AND DOWNS
05/13/2007 - John Stancill and the Nick Pistone Racing team returned to
victory lane again Friday night at Concord Motorsports Park in Concord,
NC.
After capturing the win in the Legends Semi-Pro main event at Concord,
the team packed it up and headed to Lanier Speedway in Braselton, GA for a
Saturday night shoot out.
The trend looked to continue early at the Lanier Speedway on Saturday
night. His heat race finish was enough to qualify him in the 8th spot in
the main event. But, after making his way through the field and battling
for the second position, Stancill tangled with a slower car and had to
start at the tail end of the field. Through it all, the Ayden, NC native
never gave up and was battling back until the race ended.
The Friday night win increases this season’s count to seven wins, and
fifteen top fives in seventeen events. This momentum guarantees the
competition that they are battling a likely candidate for the Legends
Semi-Pro National championship.
