Hall Records Top Five at PBS; Preps for Show-Me 100

Charleston, MO (5/17/06) – This past Saturday night, Todd Hall competed in his familiar #99 FTS Logistics/Mastersbilt/Robinson Racing Engines entry at Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Todd started off the night behind the eight ball when he drive a 90 in the pill draw. He started in the back of his heat race and charged to a 5th place finish. This earned him a 13th starting spot for the feature event. Todd raced his way into the fourth position by the time that the checkered flag fell on the main event. “The car was great for the feature event and I think we could have contended for the win, but we just ran out of laps. Overall, I was very happy with our performance,” commented Hall from his Charleston, Missouri shop on Wednesday.

Todd Hall Rockets To First Super Late Model Win of ‘06

Charleston, MO (4/19/06) – Even though, Todd Hall had not raced his Super Late Model in over a month, it did not prevent him from picking up the feature win in his first night back behind the wheel of the #99 FTS Logistics/Mastersbilt Chassis.

Todd was in action at Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and he swept both his heat race and feature event. “It felt great to get back behind the wheel of the Super Late Model. The car and the motor were both great, and it really made my job easy,” Hall commented from his Charleston, Missouri shop.

Todd Hall Motorsports will be looking to carry their momentum into this Saturday night’s Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) event at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky. This will mark Hall’s first M.A.R.S. event of 2006 and his second event at KLMS. The race will pay $3,000 to win and $500 to start for Super Late Models. Joey Mack Takes Poplar Bluff Checkers on March 25!

March 29, 2006

(BENTON, MISSOURI) In only their second event of the 2006 racing season, Joey Mack and the Mack Racing, Inc. team found victory lane this past Saturday night at the Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The driver of the High's Gift Shop / Boomland / Bollinger Auto #97m GRT / Kuntz machine led the feature event from flag-to-flag on Saturday to claim the $1,000 top prize. After winning his heat race to earn the pole position for the A-Main, Joey bested Steve Rushin, Chris Jones, Billy Moyer, Jr., and Jordan Jones to register his first victory of the season!

“It was about as perfect as a race night could go,” commented Mack this week, who also finished fifth at Poplar Bluff in his season opener on March 18. “Our car performed great all night and I was able to get the win.
Steve (Rushin) won the week prior and gets around Poplar Bluff pretty well, so it feels good to beat a guy of that caliber. I have to thank all of my crew for their hard work on the new car and also thank my sponsors for their continued dedication and support. Hopefully, we can visit victory lane many more times this year!”

The 2006 racing season kicks into high gear in April, as Joey plans to compete in at least seven events next month. This coming weekend will find Joey and the Mack Racing, Inc. team at the Poplar Bluff (MO) Speedway once again for another regular show. On April 8, the Mid-America Racing Series
(MARS) season kicks off with a $3,000 to win event at the West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri. Joey and the rest of the cars and stars that follow the MARS Series will be busy in April, as they have six events scheduled in three different states.

James Scores Top Five Run at Poplar Bluff

Sikeston, Missouri (3/22/06) – Billy James and James-Robinson Motorsports competed in the season opener at Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on Saturday night.

Billy piloted the James Excavating/Robinson Racing Engines/LaPlant Transport #5jr Rocket Chassis to a third place finish in the twenty lap feature for Super Late Models. James started eighth in his heat and advanced to third. In the feature, he would start third, but was unable to advance his position any further.

“I did my best to work my way to the front in the feature, but the track rubbered up pretty hard, and there wasn’t much passing going on. I got alongside of Gary Stolba a couple of times for the second position, but just couldn’t make the pass stick,” James commented.

Billy and the James-Robinson team will take this weekend off as they finish customizing their new trailer. As of now, the team is tentatively planning on attending the 14th Annual James King Memorial on Saturday, April 1st at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi.
