Mt Lawn releases 2007 schedule
3/5/07 - Mt Lawn Speedway located 5 miles west of New Castle, Indiana released
the racing schedule for the 2007 season.
Highlight of the season will be the 37th running of the Raintree 100 on June
30th along with a giant fireworks program. The speedway will open for practice
and Saturday April 7th with the first race of the year being the Hornet Spring
Nationals on Sunday afternoon April 29th. Opening night for the Motion Motors
Late Models, Dependable Drywall Thunders and the Collins Auto Service Hornets
will be Saturday night May 5th. Other special events already scheduled for 2007
include the May 5-0 featuring the Late Models, Thunder, Hornets and Street
Stocks on May 26th, the Founder’s Day 100 for Thunder Cars on Aug 4th, Fan
Appreciation night on Aug 25th and Season Championships on September 1st. The
UMRA midgets will make four appearances at Mt Lawn in 2007 culminating with a
50-lap championship race on September 22nd.
The second annual Stock Car Extravaganza is in the planning stages but a
definite date has not been set.
The third annual Cruise Mt Lawn Car Show is scheduled for Monday September
3rd.
The first practice for USAC midgets will be Sunday April 15th, with the first
of 14 shows featuring USAC Regional, Indiana Ford Focus and Kenyon midgets on
Wednesday night April 25th.

Mt Lawn will have reduced pit prices for members from $18 in 2006 to $15 in
2007. Non-member pit prices increase from $23 to $25. Open practice prices will
also be reduced for the 2007 season to $5 for members and $10 for non-members to
enter the pit area. Grandstand prices will be $10 in 2007 with a discount of
from $1 to $3 for returning customers from the previous week based on a roll a
dice on the front straightway during intermission.
