Birky Closes out 2002
11/13 - The Seubert Calf Ranches Sponsored #15b of Brian Birkhofer capped off a
spectacular 2002 breakout season by following the team motto "Top Five, put
it on the Trailer and Pick up the Check" at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway.
Birky guided his Pro Powered #15b MasterSbilt chassis to a heat race victory and
a fourth place finish in a rain shortened "Bluegrass Fall Bash."
It has been an honor and priviledge for the Staff and Management of Seubert Calf
Ranches to be associated to Brian and Alissa Birkhofer and the #15b Super Late
Model Race Team. Congratulations for a sensational 2002 Season. From Arizona in
January, to the birth of #1 son, and the "World", the 2002 season has
been more excitement than a sponsor could ask for. The numbers speak for

Brent Larson and Crew Chief Warren Gebauer have picked up a little late season
momentum at KLMS. The Seubert Calf Racing #8 took a fast qualifier provisional
start into the "Bluegrass Fall Bash" and turned it around for an
impressive 12th place Feature Finish. Look for the ProPowered #8 MasterSbilt to
turn that momentum into $$$ at Lake Cumberland this weekend.

Can Pigs Fly?
10/22 - Seubert Calf Ranches Racing, (the livestock transportation experts),
teaming up with Wissota Rookie sensation Justin "The Jet" Fegers and
the Fegers Race Team, flew the flight of their lives this weekend that landed
them in the 16th starting spot in the 22nd Annual Dirt Track World Championships
in Bardstown Ky. The prestigious DTWC starting grid of 26 was whittled away from
over 120 Super Late Models Teams and was littered throughout with our sports
greatest superstars. The #15 MasterSbilt by Mars was up to the challenge, timing
in 14th fastest, started the 7th heat race on the outside front row and never
looked back finishing a heavily contested second place. "The Jet" took
his first ever Super Late Model start behind Scott Bloomquist, alongside Bob
Pierce, and in front of Wendall Wallace. The Sun Rays Tanning Center sponsored
#15 ran a solid feature, swapping positions several times with Pierce and
Wallace before retiring on lap #59 with mechanical failure. A Special Thank You
to Mars Racing for their last minute help and Congratulations to the Fegers Race
Team who represented Seubert Calf Ranches Racing with all the Class of the
Champions they are.
The Dream Weekend began on Friday afternoon when the Seubert Teams of Kerry
Hansen and Brent Larson rendezvoused with the Fegers Team at Heaven Hill
Distillery in Bardstown Kentucky for the unveiling of the Fighting Cock Kentucky
Bourbon logo dressed out on the Hauler and Race Cars. We were met with a
beautiful southern afternoon and a gathering cowd of employees and fans. The
race teams were very impressed with our gracious hostess, Susan Wahl and our
knowledgable tour guide who led the teams through the distlillery of the Nations
Largest Producer and Marketer of Distilled Spirits Products.
It didn't matter how heart warming the Heaven Hill products were, it couldn't
keep our spirits from being dampened when we woke on Saturday to an all day
drizzle that kept us hanging till late evening. Sunday morning broke out with a
promise to be one of the biggest race days of the year starting at 11am and
finishing well after midnight. The 20 year veteran of Upper Midwest Late Model
Racing, Kerry Hansen, Spencer Wi., was our first car out timing in 7th fastest,
locking in a heat race pole position in his first ever DTWC attempt. Kerry found
it to be an impossible task to make up the several positions lost when his
ProPowered Rocket drifted to the top of the track in turns one and two,
finishing 6th. That was enough to qualify him for a spot in B-main #2, where he
finished a strong 6th.
The night ended early for the Seubert Calf Ranches ProPowered MasterSbilt,
guided by Brent Larson who qualified for an outside second row in his heat race,
but limped home his OCI sponsored #8 damaged after making contact with a lap
car.
The Seubert Calf Ranches Race Teams recieved a cold message from Mother Nature
as she blew 6 inches of SNOW into Central Wisconsin as the teams arrived home.

Beyond the World
9/18 - The Seubert Calf Ranches #15b of Brian Birkhofer has left Eldora with the
WORLD. Coming from an unheard of 15th starting spot, Birky joined the elite list
of Late Model Superstars, Bloomquist, Moyer, Moran, Francis, and Boggs who have
held the WORLD title in the last 15 years. "Winning the WORLD 100 is a
prestige thing, there's only a few who have won that huge trophy." Mike
proudly explained, "Birky has worked hard to win this one," referring
to his successful drive from mid pack, his Victory last weekend in warm-up
action at Eldora, and his summer long hot streak that has made Birky the man to
beat in 2002. Winning the WORLD 100 is the culmination of years of practice,
patiently pushing through the trying times, and persistantly coming back to try
again. The staff and management of Seubert Calf Ranches Racing would like to
express it's gratitutude, and extend it's Congratulations to Brian, his #15b
Race Team, MasterSbilt, and Pro Power on a performance deserving of WORLD
Champions. For the complete story checkout the awesome article"New Sheriff
in Town"at www.dirtamerica.com Dirt Track Racings FREE Online Magazine.
After conquering the WORLD, Birky returned to home turf this weekend in
dominating fashion. The Seubert Calf Ranches 15b came from the back of the pack
after an early race altercation resulted in a broken axle in the 25th running of
the "Yankee Dirt Track Classic" in Farley Ia. Look for Brian Birkhofer
to go for another HOME state victory at the Liberty 100 at West Liberty Ia. this
weekend.
Brent Larson "got the monkey off his back" so to speak, finding a
third try to be the charm at the Legendary Hales Corners Speedway finishing
third in UMP Super Late Model action to local veterans Sievert and Sheffler.
Brent has been frustrated in his previous two attempts by mechanical failures,
but completes the Late Model Season at Hales with a strong finish and a great
outlook towards future competition.

9/4 - Two for Three
TWO features for THREE Seubert Calf Ranch Race Teams. Leading the way, super
sophmore sensation, Nick Anvelink drove his Rocket to the largest payday of his
young career by sweeping the field of Wissota Late Models on Friday night at the
Langlade County Fairgrounds in Antigo Wi. On Saturday night, the Navarrino
Nightmare Deuce repeated the sweep over a stout field of Wissota veterans at the
legendary Shawano Speedway in front of a packed County Fair grandstands.
Shawano is where the Seubert Calf Ranches sponsored #58 of A.J. Diemel started
his two day win streak by defeating one of the most competive fields of IMCA
modifieds in the business. The double duty A.J. Diemel jumped into his Wissota
Late Model and followed up his victory with a second win at the Seymour Tri-Oval
Raceway in Seymour Wi.on Sunday.
Not to be left out, the Seubert Calf Ranches Super Late Model 15b of Brian
Birkhofer followed his top 10 finishes at the Kevin Roderick Memorial at
Kankakee, and the Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury, with victories at Eldora and
Davenport. Travelling over to Big "E" for a test and tune session for
the World 100, Birky drove his MasterSbilt first to the checkers over a huge
field of 86 teams in Sunoco American Late Model action. Picking up the momentum,
the 15b dominated the Bud Shootout in Davenport by lapping all but two cars on
his way to Victory Lane for the second night in a row.
Kerry Hansen picked up a pair of secondary victories by winning one of the Kevin
Roderick non-qualifier races, and a semi win at the Fairbury Prairie Dirt
Classic. The #25 Pro Powered Rocket chassis was leading his heat race at the
Davenport Bud Shootout when a ball joint failed putting him hard into the wall.
Brent Larson's Seubert Calf Ranches OCI sponsored #8 took the hardest hit of the
weekend. During heat race action at Hales Corners Speedway, axle failure put
Brent's MasterSbilt into the wall." I have never seen so many people trying
to get a visitor back in the race," stated Brent of the 20 or so drivers,
crew members, and management that scrambled to repair his torn up race car.
Brent Larson and the Staff of Seubert Calf Ranches would like to send it's
appreciation out to those who contributed and a promise to return on Saturday
for the season finale.
Look for the Wissota Late Models to be in action at Monster Hall Raceway in
Unity Wi. for the season closer on Friday night and Good Luck to Brian Birkhofer
and his 15b race team as they are on a roll going into Eldora.

8/28 - Racing is Heating Up
The Late Summer racing action is heating up and the Seubert Calf Ranches Dirt
Late Model race teams are just warming up. The 15b race team of Brian Birkhofer
took his Pro Powered MasterSbilt down to the big Hall of Fame weekend at the
Florence Speedway Ky., and once again raced to his team motto "Top 5, on
the trailer, and pick up the check." Birky won his heat race Friday and
Saturday, finishing fifth and third respectively in the features.
The Super Late Model Teams of Kerry Hansen and Brent Larson hauled into the
legendary Hales Corners Speedway in Milwaukee Wi.., for their first encounter
with the UMP sanctioned regulars. Upon entering the facility we were greeted at
the gate by an impressive Cody Carlson, track promoter who left no bases
uncovered welcoming the Seubert Calf Ranches Race teams. First up was the most
EXCITING time trials in the business. Within 5 minutes they qualified the first
10 late models, nearly a three car pileup, put one on it's hood, and flipped a
modified. The #25 of Kerry Hansen timed in third fastest, qualifying for the
Dash. The OCI Carriers sponsored #8 of Brent Larson started on the pole of heat
#1, seemingly had the place figured out as he was walking away when he broke a
rear trailing arm resulting in drive shaft failure slowing his #8 MasterSbilt to
a stop on the infield. The #25 Rocket of Kerry Hansen finished the night out
with a strong top five finish. The Seubert Calf Ranches Race teams were charmed
by the comradrie, excitement, and eagerness of the Hales Corners staff and
teams, and vows to return for another shot at winner's circle.
Eric Pember battled to the very end in Wissota Late Model action at Arcadia.
Even after doing everything in his power, winning his heat race and the feature
event, the Seubert Inc. sponsored 90x fell just short of the Fox Ridge Speedway
Late Model Season points championship.
It was Terry Anvelink driving his #32 Seubert Calf Ranches Rocket to Winner's
Circle in Wissota Late Model action at Monster Hall Raceway. Following to the
checkers were the #15 Rocket of son Nick, and the Seubert sponsored #00 of Robby
Bunkelman.
Seubert Calf Ranches would like to thank Doc Lehman of www.dirtamerica.com, for
the outstanding articles printed on behalf of our race team and wish to invite
all fans to checkout the work done by one of our sports greatest advocates.
The latest issue of Dirt Late Model magazine has an awesome interview
highlighting the career of the Seubert Calf Ranches #25 Kerry Hansen.
Look for the Seubert Calf Ranches Super Late Models at Kankakee on Friday night,
Fairbury and Hales Corners on Saturday. The Wissota teams will be in action at
Rice Lake, Hibbing, Shawano, and Eagle Valley on Sunday for the 1st Annual
Lonnie Leu Memorial Race.
We would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Labor Day Weekend. Hope to see
you at the races, and bring KIDS.
