Jarrett was saving up for a Rainy Day at Toledo TOLEDO, OH – May 22, 2005 – It seems when Jason Jarrett runs at Toledo, his number is three. The North Carolina racer placed third on this half-mile oval in 2001, and he also took third spot in the running of the Hantz Group 200 on Sunday. Driving the Central Merchant Services/ReadyHosting.com Chevrolet of Venturini Motorsports, Jarrett started the Hantz Group 200 in fourth spot, stayed out of trouble, and took a podium finish at Toledo, the fifth stop in this year’s ARCA Re/Max Series. “We had a great car, and we stayed out of trouble,” said the former ARCA Rookie of the Year. “The Venturinis gave me a solid car to drive, and the team worked great on the pit stops.” With regular qualifying cancelled due to poor weather and time constraints, the 30-year old Jarrett, along with all ARCA drivers, started according to their 2005 points, so Jarrett started outside second row for the 200-lap race. He continued to stay up with the top runners throughout most of the race, which was delayed by rain several times. After a caution on lap 105, Jarrett pitted for four tires and fuel, and came back out in 13th spot. But he used his good-running car to his advantage, and took third spot on lap 173, where he stayed for the remainder of the race. “This is great to be back in the top five,” said Jarrett after the race. “After poor showings in Salem and Kentucky, we’ve got the momentum now to get right back into it.” The next event on the schedule is the Williams Brother 200 at the Lanier Speedway in Braselton, GA.
