17 year old Keeton Hanks on a hot streak , has sights set on a successful weekend of racing in 2 different states!

(Auburn, KY) - July 13, 2006 - The 2006 season has proven to be up and down for the Keeton Hanks Racing team. Despite going through the sophomore slump, Hanks has turned his season into being successful as he has pulled his 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS into victory lane a total of four times! Hanks can be found on a regular basis at the highly famed short track of Music City Motorplex in Nashville, TN racing in the late model division. Making only 10 of the 11 starts, Hanks sets fourth in the points standings. In the 10 starts, the team has collected two wins, seven top fives, seven top tens, and three heat race wins.

“I am very relieved now that we have gotten the bad luck behind us and been able to show some success here in the past few races. We knew if we kept working at it and didn’t give up, we would get through it,” explained Hanks.

Not only has Hanks proved to be a strong contender at Music City Motorplex, but he has also collected two wins in the late model division at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY. The team made their ASA Late Model South Series debut on April 29th at Beech Bend Raceway in the Pepsi 100. Hanks qualified fourth and experienced some contact on the first lap, and went on to finish 11th. The team made their next ASA Late Model South Series start on June 17th at Rock Castle Speedway. The team experienced a mechanical problem with their engine and went on to finish eighth. Keeton Hanks Racing will make their third start at Beech Bend Raceway for the Kentucky 100.

“I am looking forward to being able to show our chances again in front of a hometown crowd as we go for our fifth win of the season!,” continued Hanks on the Kentucky 100.

The team will be back into action on July 14th for the USG Sheetrock 50 at Music City Motorplex during Friday Night Thunder as they go for their second win in a row. The next day you will see the Keeton Hanks Racing team at the ASA Late Model South Series race at Beech Bend Raceway for the Kentucky 100.

Keeton Hanks is searching for primary sponsors on his 2006 Monte Carlo SS for the 2007 season. Limited sponsorship is carried by Aluminum Racing Products, Parrish Auto Parts, Stack and Store Self Storage, and J.R.’s Auto Sales.
