He went on to complete a longer 3-day instructional and training session with ARCA driver Andy Hillenberg at Fast Tracks Driving School covering speeds up to 150 mph.

He took this love for speed to become an instructor at Stockcar Racing Experience at Pocono International Raceway in Long Pond, Pa.    He has logged over 50,000 miles to this day on that challenging tri-oval raceway.

Doug also loves to race go-karts and consistently finishes in the top five, and also teaches go-kart racing to children as an instructor for the Urban Youth Racing School near Philadelphia . 

Doug’s racing career started in the ARCA Bondo/mar-hyde Supercar Series (today known as the ARCA RE/MAX Series) at Daytona International Speedway in February 1999. In his first ever motorsports racing event, he started 35th in the Firstplus Financial 200 at Daytona International Speedway, finishing the race in 15th position, and on the lead lap.

Doug currently resides with his lovely wife Sheri in Pottstown , PA.
