BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF WAYNE COUNTY LOOKING FOR RACERS TO FILL THEIR OPEN LANES Wooster, OH - March 29, 2007 - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wayne County is looking for teams for their Annual Bowl for Kids Sake to take place at Triway Lanes, in Wooster, Ohio, on Saturday, April 14th. Each team is made up of 4 bowlers and each bowler is asked to raise $100 in pledges or $400 for the team. There are still several lanes available, and it would be great to see the racing community get involved to fill these empty lanes. The money raised from the Annual Bowl for Kids Sake goes to support local match activities and support services. Big Brothers Big Sisters, a very integral part of helping children grow up to be strong individuals, is a nationally recognized organization, and one Doug and Courtney Drown are proud to support. Matched with their little brother, Ryan, for almost a year now, they have taken him to the races, to movies, go karting…stuff they generally do anyhow, but now they include Ryan. “He is really a cool kid and it’s great to see the impact you make in a child’s life. This program allows you to do that,” stated Doug Drown. “The Annual Bowl for Kids Sake is something we have participated in for the last couple of years and it really is a good time. They have trivia questions during the bowl where you can earn raffle tickets for some great prizes, they feed you pizza and pop – it is truly an exciting afternoon…and, once people find out what you are raising money for, they are very willing to help out and donate toward your team. – It is so important to give back to the children who come and support you at the track every week – I challenge all of you to hook up with a few of your family, friends, or crew members and come out and bowl with us on the 14th.” The individual who raises the most pledge money in all five county bowls will receive two complimentary airlines tickets to anywhere in the United States. For more information on Big Brothers Big Sisters, to sign up for a lane, or to donate toward Doug and Courtney’s team, please call Courtney Drown at (330) 465-7691 or e-mail her at courtney@dougdrown.com. Doug Drown Welcomes Veteran Wrench To Team Wooster, OH - March 17, 2007 - Doug Drown of Wooster, OH, who will be back on the road full time with the Mid Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) for the 2007 racing season, has announced a new addition to his crew, long time veteran wrench Scott Delaney who has spent successful and championship seasons with Al Purkey, John Mason and Charlie Duncan. Drown will compete with MACS in his Wooster Glass Co., Mason Racin, Bert Transmissions, Genesis Racing Shocks, Hoosier Tire-Mid Atlantic, Hyperco, Wrisco, Lehman Motorsports Services, Farr Motorsports sponsored Rocket Chassis/Malcuit Racing Engines #12. “We just got a new crew member as Scott Delaney will be helping out,” confirmed an enthused Drown, 24. “He was a great person to have on the team when he helped us during the 2001 Renegade DirtCar Racing Series season. With Scott's experience for fine tuning a race car and the crew I have had the past few years, with the exception of Ken Moser, I think we will be a well rounded team and we'll be able to handle the situations that occur when traveling on the road.” “Scott has helped several people like Al Purkey, John Mason and Charlie Duncan, he knows a lot and I hope his knowledge will help us while racing in several big races this year as we are an under budgeted team who runs on our winnings from weekend to weekend so we have to run well to keep going.” Drown, a former Renegade Dirt Car Series and MACS regular returns full time
to MACS since the 2002 season when he finished the season fifth in points in
addition to being the recipient that year of the MACS Hard Charger Award. The
