Cooley Picks Up Pair of Top Fives; NAS &
Columbus Up Next On Friday night, Eric traveled to Moulton Speedway in Moulton, Alabama. A poor pill draw relegated Eric to starting at the back of his heat race, but he didn’t stay there long as he picked up the heat win. However, on the first lap of the feature another car made contact with Cooley, causing him to spin. Eric had to go to the back of the pack, but charged back to a 3rd place finish at the checkered flag. Saturday night presented a bigger challenge on finding an open track, but alas, the Cooley gang found out that Thunder Valley Raceway in Winfield, Alabama was in action. The only catch was that, the track did not run the Late Model Stock class, so Eric was forced to run with the Super Late Models. He managed to time in 5th, finished 3rd in the dash, and recorded a 2nd place finish in the feature, despite having less power than his competitors. This weekend, Eric will return to familiar territory as he competes at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Friday night and at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Saturday night.
